Planning the lights

Had a brief meeting this afternoon to put together the plans for the Christmas lights switch on. Effectively it is a show which, like any other show, requires careful choreography and everyone knowing their role.

So together with Amanda (TC events coordinator), Mary (from the local traders association), Richard (from the sound and lights company), Xander (from the Salvation Army) and fellow councillors Terry and Mike, we ruminated and added some detail to the outline plan created by Amanda.

So I hope everyone is coming along to the great Christmas Lights Switch-on at 6pm by the Old Gaol on 26 November. The Buckingham Christmas begins then!

And there will be a special Christmas market open in the run up to the lights switch-on and for a short while afterwards...

And this year, there is going to be a special surprise... you cannot afford to miss it!
