Another Mayor made

Julie and I set off for Bicester last night and we were delighted to observe the election of the new Mayor of Bicester, Cllr Sean Gaul. The outgoing Mayor, Cllr Les Sibley gave his review of the year and was later honoured with a unanimous vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with handing out cheques to 30 organisations from the Council's grants allocation.

During the meeting, the Mayor addressed the people of Bicester through a live link, urging them to shop local. Apparently there are concerns about the viability of Bicester town shopping centre. The new Mayor is intent on bringing more custom back to the town.
